Intro:

Since we live in an age of social media websites being hugely popular you have to ask the question of: “Why bother with your own personal website?” And my answer to that is because you can have more information than could fit in a social media profile and in a design that could not be done in a social media profile and with all of your links right there to all of your social media profiles as well as the links to your other websites as a “link hub” and in a way that isn’t just a hub for links like AllMyLinks.

And one of the ways I designed this website that could not be done in a social media profile is to make a clickable link to any word or term relevant in a big way to what I was explaining that someone might not know what it is or might want to learn more about it even if they know what it is and link it to the English language Wikipedia article on that to make it easy for them to access that information and to help promote Wikipedia because I think they’re great and it is so easy to access that information in this design as to literally be “just one click.” And I have Wikipedia’s permission to do this (as do you as well) and without asking them for permission first and an article on their website says more about it here. And for my websites you have my permission and without asking me first to put links to them on your website including deep links (which are links to a page other than the homepage that some unreasonable website owners don’t like as they want you to see the ads, etc on the homepage and then navigate to other pages from there when deep linking is free advertising for them and without copyright infringement so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t like that). And Wikipedia by the way also allows deep linking on other people’s websites and also without asking for their permission first.

With the Wikipedia links it makes learning less of a chore since you can “learn more with just 1 click” without having to type out Wikipedia’s web address and then run a search there or type out Google’s web address and then run a search there and I try to make everything here as interesting as I can to read by trying to include the most interesting stuff and leave out less interesting stuff and I also try to include humor when I can.

There’s a links page on this website homepage called “The Websites I Go To The Most Often” because the idea is it then makes this website also a hub to popular websites that I also like. The titles of the sections there are not in alphabetical order and instead the order I felt is best to make sense of them (especially since I could put “Everything Else” at the bottom) but the stuff listed under each section is in alphabetical order as I felt it made sense for those parts and they are in alphabetical order of how I described them as I felt that made the most sense even though in a small percentage of cases that means a different order if I instead went by the name of their website.

And while a social media website can temporarily or permanently suspend your profile at any time for any reason they want for your own personal website as long as you follow the law (like you should) and are up-to-date with your web hosting bill you don’t have to worry about it “vanishing overnight.” Because while usually when a social media website temporarily or permanently suspends someone that person is being a real asshole, that’s not always the case, as sometimes the social media website is who is being the “asshole.”

Everyone has a story to tell about their life and who they are and in the world of the internet only with a personal website can you do that any way that you want with absolute “freedom.”
